Michigan St players charged in campus sexual assault case

He's been charged with third degree criminal sexual conduct, and faces up to 15 years in prison. Corley and Vance both are charged with one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Corley, King and Vance are expected to appear in court later Tuesday. They have not yet been named as the charges have not been formalized.

Charges against King, Corley and Vance were announced this week.

Police say the alleged victim knew King before the encounter.

The Police allege that King forced the alleged victim into a restroom in an apartment where he removed her clothes and penetrated her against her will. King also let Corley and Vance into the bathroom at separate times, the detective said, and forced the woman to have oral sex with them.

The report says Blackwell, the football program's director of college advancement and performance, also learned January 16 about the incident after Dantonio spoke with the player who reported the incident.

Siemon said she won't be pressing charges against a person who had worked for the Michigan State football program.

Asked on Tuesday if he would have done anything differently in their recruiting processes, Dantonio said that "everything was positive" regarding the three players he dismissed on Tuesday. "The high standards I have established fro this program will not change and the values that we teach to everyone in this program will be enforced". The three defendants had already been suspended indefinitely and were pushed out of university housing in February after the school learned about the allegation.

Police also found a text message conversation between the three and another unnamed player indicating their involvement in the assault, Davis said.

Former football staffer Curtis Blackwell's contract wasn't renewed at the end of May.

On Monday, Dantonio along with Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis and school president Lou Anna K. Simon received "full support" from the university's board of trustees.

News 10's Jentill Neal and Zach Berridge were at the press conference; they will have the complete story for you tonight on News 10 at 6.

The three players are now suspended from the football program and have been removed from university housing.

"These are not the only incidents. There are a whole lot more out there", Truszkowski said. "Is there a problem?" "I think that anyone you spoke with in the community would tell you he is just a really polite and courteous young man and I think he's been falsely accused". Auston Robertson was also dismissed from the team following rape charges in April - and seven other Michigan State players have left the team for various reasons since the conclusion of a 3-9 season in 2016.

They found that Head Coach Mark Dantonio handled the situation properly and did no wrongdoing.
