Kyle Kuzma shines against Celtics in Summer League

Ball's playmaking ability will get even better as the season continues as his teammates will build more chemistry with him. Ball landed a triple-double of 11 points, 11 assists, and 11 rebounds in his second #Nba Summer League.

The outcome of the game wasn't the storyline, though, as all the focus after was on the performances of Tatum and specifically Ball.

After the Clippers went under pick-and-rolls and dared Ball to shoot pull-up 3s, he was more aggressive attacking off the dribble against the Celtics.

ESPN's Ramona Shelburne has reported that the Lakers have expressed interest in signing Rajon Rondo, and according to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times, the former Boston Celtics point guard appears to be interested in joining the Lakers as well. For the Lakers to have beat the Clippers, they would have needed just a decent shooting night from Lonzo Ball who shot 1-10 from the outside. And he still kept them in the game playing his worst game ever.

The main storyline of this game was the battle between this year's No.2 and No.3 picks.

In the Lakers' 86-81 loss to the hated Boston Celtics on Saturday at Thomas & Mack Center, Ball posted 11 points in 5-of-13 shooting and 1-of-5 from 3-point range. He averaged 7.2 points and 2.2 assists per game, shooting only 37.3 percent from the field. He wasn't going to let it get to him and there wasn't anything that would get in his way the next time he stepped on the floor. Ingram's rookie season campaign got off to a sluggish start, but by the end of the National Basketball Association regular season, he was showing glint of the potential that caused everyone to be so high on him at draft process. "That [should] be the worst game I have all week".

"When he gets it going, he can really light it up", Buechler said.

When Ball emerged from the locker room, he looked up and shook his head at the throng of reporters and cameras waiting for his arrival at the empty blue backdrop.

"The biggest challenge is my shot; my shot's not going in", he said, per Golliver. "My shot is off. I already knew what he was doing". Kuzma just proved he can give them good minutes that helps them in both of those areas.
