Cameron Meredith believed to have torn ACL

Chicago Bears wide receiver Cameron Meredith, center, is tackled by the leg after a run against the Tennessee Titans in the first half of an NFL football preseason game Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, in Nashville, Tenn. But that's no comfort to Bears fans, as the player in question, Cam Meredith, was poised to be their #1 receiving target. But Meredith appeared to be in excruciating pain when he was hit by Titans safety Kevin Byard at the end of a 16-yard reception. The Bears quickly announced Meredith has a knee injury and will not return to the game. Meredith's leg bent in an awkward fashion when he was hit and he rode to the locker room on a cart after the cast was put on his leg. He came on strong last season in a breakout campaign, catching 66 passes for 888 yards and four touchdowns.

Linebackers Leonard Floyd and Dan Skuta both suffered their injuries in the third quarter. Scales's injury, albeit playing a smaller position, could provide the Bears issues if the team's backup long snapper struggles in the role.
