Finance Your Next Surface Hardware Purchase with the Surface Plus Program

Following the introduction of the Surface as a Service program a year ago, which provided Surface devices to businesses on subscription plans, Microsoft has debuted a similar offering aimed at consumers. If you are a student and already busy as school is about to start, you can get yourself a Surface Book, Surface Pro or Surface Laptop.

Upgrade subject to device availability and eligibility requirements, including an account with Klarna, good standing, the return of the functional device to Microsoft in good condition, and new 24-month payment plan and credit agreement with Klarna. Redmond is also launching the new finance program for its business customers.

Device upgrades: Customers can upgrade to the latest Surface after just 18 months.

To align with this sale, Microsoft is also introducing Back to School Live, a new series that is created to help teachers get ready for the new school year. With PC competition so fierce, Microsoft is getting creative in ways to make the Surface more affordable - and to make students and individual buyers pause before buying a new Apple Mac.

The program also comes with device services and support through Microsoft's retail locations and a year of free in-store technical assistance.

Flexible Terms: Businesses can choose flexible 18, 24, or 30 month periods, with the ability to upgrade devices after just 12 months on a 24-month term (after 18 months on the 30-month term).

In the companies complete back to school post on the official Windows blog they also talk about Windows 10 S, Office 365 for Education, and other OEM partners hardware that could also help students be more productive in their school studies.

The financing options for business, termed Microsoft Surface Plus for Business, have higher prices, as you might expect: Surface Pro 2017 runs $53 per month for 24 months (m3, 4 GB, 128 GB); Surface Studio is $146/month; Surface Book with Performance Base $115/month; and the yuge Surface Hub runs $408 per month. Businesses can also expand or reduce their device fleet mid-term.

Surface Plus for business adds additional features.
