Stunt driver dies on Vancouver set of 'Deadpool 2'

A witness tells The Guardian that the woman lost control of the bike and crashed through the glass window of a tower in downtown Vancouver.

Local news station CTV Vancouver reported that the woman was carried to an Advanced Life Support ambulance.

Things went horribly wrong on the set of "Deadpool 2" and a stuntwoman is now dead.

Vancouver Police tweeted the department's investigators, as well as people from WorkSafeBC - the provincial workplace safety agency - were at the scene. Just last week, a photo emerged of what could have been Beetz's stunt double as she filmed a motorcycle scene.

The driver's name was not immediately released.

Production of Deadpool 2 began in late June.

At the time, Reynolds thanked the VDP for its efforts. The movie was a box office hit, earning over $750 million worldwide.

David Leitch takes over for director on the sequel.

The stand-in actor tragically died in Vancouver this morning while filming the Marvel sequel, according to TMZ reports. The movie has a June 1, 2018 release, although it's unknown if the accident will result in that schedule being pushed back.
